On April 21st etsy.org offers a workshop about its new program specific to the Hudson Valley and designed to bring entrepreneurs and community leaders together in a cohort-based, experiential, business-education program, according to its website.
The non profit mirror image of the well known artisanal business brand, Etsy, which helped pioneer the maker class of entrepreneurs as a business model, etsy.org will be knitting together some of the Hudson Valley’s most prominent names and brands (think Stone Barns Center), who, over a six month period of time, will facilitate workshops, and offer access to regional organizations which in turn will provide outreach to leaders and businesses; the program will also offer access to mentors from Etsy’s pilot Brooklyn-based program.
Participants in the program will be selected to work with the aforementioned, in an immersive, six month period requiring a serious commitment on the part of selected “fellows.” The next month or so harkens in the selection of the 20 fellows via a series of workshops in person and online before the final submissions are required and selections made.
A River of Opportunities is delighted to participate with etsy.org to support raising awareness about this wonderful, unique, and change-making opportunity. Remember: April 21st at Space Create in Newburgh, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The evening is sponsored by Rethink Local .
