Rezoning workshop
The Newburgh Armory Unity Center in Newburgh, NY is hosting a City of Newburgh, NY, rezoning workshop on March 31st on behalf of A River of Opportunities, Newburgh, NY.
“A River of Opportunities” is a marketing campaign focused on raising awareness about the many historic, commercial brick warehouse and manufacturing buildings available to businesses looking for affordable space (either for lease of for sale) in Newburgh, NY. We also raise awareness about the creative class of Newburgh, and the many cultural events and significant city events that take place throughout the year.
City Planner, Alexandra Church, and Deirdre Glenn, Director of Planning and Development, are our featured speakers, and they will discuss Newburgh’s new rezoning regulations.
The workshop will also touch on Startup New York, a business tax incentive plan implemented by Governor Cuomo that is perfect for new and expanding businesses. It offers the opportunity to operate tax-free for 10 years on or near eligible university or college campuses in New York State, in this case Mt. St. Mary’s College, Newburgh, N.Y.
“A River of Opportunities” was also awarded a $10,000 a month Google AdWords grant to help promote and raise awareness about Newburgh, its historic commercial properties, its events, and the terrific and talented people of Newburgh. A brief discussion of ways the grant will be used to help promote the city and its businesses is offered.
Visitors will also be invited to tour the “Advanced Manufacturing Training Facility” on the lower level of the Unity Center , and will learn about how companies can utilize this training space.
Light refreshments will be served!
